Black Sheep Restaurants BELON: THE NEXT CHAPTER
Documentary Short Director

A short documentary portrait of the evolution of BELON, an award-winning neo-Parisian restaurant in the heart of Hong Kong’s trendy Soho district.
In 2016, when BELON first opened on Elgin Street, Black Sheep Founders Syed Asim Hussain and Christopher Mark embarked on a journey of their own, their first venture into a new kind of dining experience. Back in 2021, BELON closed the doors on its inaugural home and has since reopened in an elegant, elevated space designed by Joyce Wang Studio. At the helm is Chef Matthew Kirkley, who, for the first time in his career, is working in a restaurant that is unapologetically French, where he can present exquisitely executed classically-minded cuisine.
Having carved out its spot as a preeminent dining destination in Asia, Chris, Asim, and the team are looking forward to achieving new heights as they embark on the next chapter in the book of BELON.
